Tourist In The City I saw the BEB on a bill with another act I showed up to see and Damn! they are captivating. They are exciting to watch and you just want to leap around in utter joy along with them. By the last song Friday that's what people started doing too. BEB just released a CD not yet on Bandcamp. With the songs on their first, here, you can hear their sarcasm, joy, soulful sad harmonic predicament. In the live show with newer songs and covers they bring a good mix. Favorite track: Song for Everyone.

Fog is rising In the Blue Ridge Mountains, where it lingers all the time. Sun is shining In the deep, dark hollows where you can't see past the pines. There's a rainbow in Elizabethton Just for a short while. But while that rainbow lasts, I've gotta get there fast. That's when they say she's gonna be mine. There's hearsay of a girl Who travels around this world Just laughing at boys who try to waste her precious time. I follow her round and round and round She turns me on, then turns me down, But now this rainbow's turning my luck around. Fog is rising In the Blue Ridge Mountains where it lingers all the time. Sun is shining In the deep, dark holler where you can't see past the pines. There's a rainbow in Elizabethton Just for a short while. But while that rainbow lasts, I've gotta get there fast. That's when they say she's gonna be mine. I tracked her down in her hometown. C'mon rainbow, don't fail me now. But that moment when I knocked upon her door, It opened up and I hit the floor. It was another girls standing in her drawers, saying "She don't swing that way, she's already mine." Fog is rising In the Blue Ridge Mountains where it lingers all the time. Sun is shining In the deep, dark holler where you can't see past the pines. There was a rainbow in Elizabethton Just for a short while. But now that rainbow is here to stay. That's okay 'cause we like it that way. She don't swing that way, She'll never be mine.

Well, you grew up too fast Looking for a well-paid job that lasts, Settled down in a pre-fab house with four kids, And every Monday at seven it's meatloaf again. Well, you got off work too late, And you already know your fate, Peeling back on the wrapper of the lean cuisine, And cuddling up with Two Buck Chuck. Don't you wish you were free? Don't you wish you were me, Traveling round with your friends from town to town Singing three-part harmony. Well, it's a white hot summer's day. You've been sweating your life away Tacking shingles on a politician's house Who will always vote against your say. Staring at the computer screen, Brother, wasting away your dreams While your boss sends you message after message after message When she's only ten feet away. Don't you wish you were free? Don't you wish you were me, Traveling round with your friends from town to town Singing three-part harmony. Well, we've been driving all night long Through some road work like Donkey Kong. We'll play a two hour set for six people, I bet That we're getting paid in PBR. Well, we haven't been home in six weeks, And our Subaru is starting to reek. We're scraping up the coins from underneath the seat Because we're living on pickles and cheese. Now, don't you get me wrong, You know we all get along. But when you're traveling round with these fools for so long, It ain't just sunshine and song. Still, I'm glad to be free. Yes, I'm proud to be me, Traveling round with my friends from town to town Singing three-part harmony.

Hey, Petunia Porcellini, Accompany me to Nuku Hiva Just say where you know you want to go Just say that you'll see me there. I could never love you better Your thinning hair will make a sweater We'll get cozy by the fireside, just you and me. Hey, Petunia Porcellini, Take me to your coast of Guinea. We'll go swimming with the water pigs We'll go dancing with the sharks I would never, never falter I'd place your face upon my alter We'll sing la tee da tee da da da, Strip and dance under the sun And we'll be free You and me We'll be free You and me Dear Petunia Porcellini We could parasail or bungee Just say where you know you want to go Just say if you see me there. How I wish that you could see me, There's no one I love more completely Even though it's been so many years Since the day When I heard my sister weeping She cried, "Petunia is barely breathing." We rolled you in the morning paper Just like a guinea pig cigar. The world is full of evil people Not Petunia, she is peaceful. She just eats and sleeps and primps a lot And kicks the bucket When I do, then We'll be free You and me We'll be free You and me

Take This On 04:15
Wide, bright silver moon Mountain road in early June We will take this on We will take this on Soft, sweet sings the creek Stone by stone, we climb the peak We will take this on We will take this on I can only wonder what good could come from A youth without fear of the unknown or young love But with you, I think I might try Oh but with you, I'm prepared to try Conversations about conversations About the things we should have said Talking in circles and circling round my head I care about you baby, but I'm always on the road Distance is rough, but it's the life I've always known. Me and you, we should be living instead. Oh me and you, we should be living instead. I have grown too weary of moonlight and night skies They have only lead me to heartbreak and harsh lies But with you, I think I might try Oh but with you, I think I might try. Soft, sweet sings the creek Stone by stone, we climb the peak We will take this on We will take this on Wide, bright silver moon Mountain road in early June We will take this on We will take this on

Every single sunrise is everybody's Every single snowfall is everyone's And this single moment, this single moment This moment just belongs to us. Every single raindrop is everybody's Every single mountain breeze is everyone's But this sing moment, this single moment This moment just belongs to us. Belongs to us Us... belongs to us Every single sunburn is everybody's The shade from every oak tree is everyone's And this simple folk tune, this simple folk tune This tune belongs to everyone. To everyone. One... to everyone.

I'm not gonna tell you that I'm doing fine I wouldn't lie about that to you my friend But last night, I worked up the nerve to smile at a girl When her boyfriend walked in There's a solution to all of our woes We wrote this tune so everyone knows Just bring us three more whiskeys, and we'll be alright Three more whiskeys, and all of the stuff that goes wrong will be outta sight. We don't like to complain about all of our woes We sing the remedy so everyone knows Three more whiskeys and we'll be alright. I went to a party in gay Par-ee I sat down to go wee-wee I thought I'd catch up on some of my texts But oh no, you'll never guess what happened next My phone went down As I turned around to flush But there's a solution to all of our woes We wrote this tune so everyone knows Just bring us three more whiskeys, and we'll be alright Three more whiskeys And all of the beep that goes wrong will be outta sight We don't like to complain about all of our woes We sing the remedy so everyone knows Three more whiskeys and we'll be alright Drunk solo I can remember the first day of school Trying to prove to them other kids I'm super cool So I show off a balancing act on my tray When a little scrap of nothing just got in my way I went down Oh my gosh, it was awful My food went everywhere My mashed potatoes went all over Charles Jason literally drank my apple juice And as for Jessica, my corn dog went right into her fruit cup. But there's a solution to all of our woes. We wrote this tune so everyone knows Just bring us three more whiskeys, and we'll be alright Three more whiskeys And all of the shit that goes wrong will be outta sight. We don't like to complain about all of our woes. We sing the remedy so everyone knows. Three more whiskeys and we'll be alright Oh yeah

Virginia May 04:05
The stars don't hold a candle to the twinkle in her eye. They keep talking bout the moon that shines so bright, But they haven't seen her smile. Sweet Virginia May Please come back again Nothing sweeter than the way she paints the ground so white With her daisies everywhere She can lead you on the Highland Ridge and treat you to the ponies wild Sweet Virginia May Please come back again Watch it now, be careful or she'll roll on by Don't you know you'll miss her when she rolls on by It'll be another year before she rolls on by Sweet Virginia May Please come back again In the morning when she wakes me with her sunlight And her warmth upon my skin I could wait all day to lie down in her sweet embrace And dream away Sweet Virginia May Please come back again
